Know Your Church

Know Your Church

On Tuesday 5th December, the group met for a third time and continued the process of exploring the relationship between church and neighbourhood. We particularly focussed on the results of our church questionnaire carried out on Sunday 3rd December at both services.

On Sunday 3rd December at both the 11.00am and 6.30pm services, the congregations were asked to complete a simple questionnaire at the start of each service. They were reminded that on the 1st June 2017 , Holy Trinity's parish had been enlarged to encompass most of the previous St Barnabas & St Jude parish and that we are using the KYCKYN process to explore how best to serve and engage with those who live in our geographical patch.

142 Questionnaires were returned from people who attended either the morning and evening services on Sunday 3rd December.  You can download a summary of the data by clicking on the adjacent picture. As a group we reflected together on this data using the following questions:

  • What was confirmed by the questionnaire?
  • What was surprising about peoples responses?
  • What does this information tell us about the capacity of the church to undertake new activity?
The fuller notes of our meeting are available here. If you have any comments, reflections or questions you would like to feed into the process please do contact Tim Sanderson.
